Santa Monica

California is one of the most beautiful places you can visit in the United States. I highly recommend taking a visit before it falls into the ocean. My trip to The Golden State was certainly an eventful one. All of the major hot spots received a visit, such as Los Angeles, San Francisco and San Diego. The staple of my trip is Santa Monica and I will tell you why.

Santa Monica had to be one of the coolest places around, simply because of the fairly popular attraction The Santa Monica Pier. At first, I was confused because I didn’t understand how a pier could be fun, but I was proven wrong in every sense of the word.

There were restaurants, a ton of cool people, rides and even places to shop. One of the most memorable moments had to be the live performers that would set up their own little stages right on the beach. People would just gather around and have a good time.

One of the many underrated features of California has to be the weather. In the middle of summer, Santa Monica had a nice breeze blowing through it and the temperature was in the 70s. Living mainly in Florida for most of my life, that is an extremely big deal.

  1. Very cool! I went to Santa Monica last year and loved it as well. I agree, I am usually not one to think that piers are the most fun attraction, seeing as the ones in Florida are kind of lame compared to California’s piers. The weather was also probably one of my favorite things too! Being able to straighten my hair and it not be bothered by humidity was the most wonderful thing. I look forward to visiting again!
